I am a Doctor of Psychology and have a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology, both from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP).
I attended Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) for my undergraduate degree with majors in psychology and sociology. I was raised in Tulsa, OK and have family in the area (in fact, if you pay attention, you may notice similar names of therapists at CFI). I attended graduate school in Denver and loved living nearby to the mountains and outdoor activities.
While in Denver, my family and I attended a church called Adullam whose emphasis on building community and relationships was very fitting for us.
I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to engage in therapy with folks because it gives me a privileged chance to share in people’s lives. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy as a source of support and encouragement as we go through change. I believe that we all want to be heard and understood. Since positive relationships are such a key component in the overall health of a person, therapy offers a place to become better at engaging in relationships with others. The model of counseling at Christian Family Institute encourages couples and families to attend therapy together so that more players in the system can benefit from the process.
